Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Fitters for projects located in the Jennings, LA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27+/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

Fit structural steel components including beams columns & plate in a fabrication shop environment
Read & interpret blueprints
Lay out and measure material accurately
Fit components to tolerance
Perform tack welding as needed prior to final weld-out
Align members
Prep material
Check dimensions
Coordinate with welders to ensure proper joint configuration and structural integrity
Operate FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and saw welding processes
Use flame-cutting equipment and metal-forming tools including brakes shears and presses

Requirements:

4+ years of experience
