Key Responsibilities

• This role involves physical activity in a food processing facility, requiring regular exertion such as bending, stooping, and lifting weights over 50 pounds. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods and occasionally use stairs or ladders.
• Work in conditions such as wet environments, and maintain safety while handling moving mechanical parts and other potential hazards.
• Implement automation solutions for plant processes, including designing control systems and supervising electrical and instrumentation functions for projects.
• Develop and apply control strategies aligning with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement and enhance reliability. Provide training on completed projects.
• This position requires availability for a 6-day work week.

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in PLC/HMI/Controls programming languages.
• Ability to troubleshoot and update diverse electrical or instrumentation systems.
• Skill in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Effective team player and self-starter.
• Ability to pass an Electrical Aptitude Test.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Cargill.
• Understanding of continuous and batch processing control strategies.
• Familiarity with production processes.
• Capability to configure and program various control systems, including PLC and HMI.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, planning, and scheduling.
• Experience with automation, electrical, and instrumentation, particularly with Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
• Insight into plant digital business technologies.
