Director of EHS - Construction

Position Summary
The Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading a comprehensive safety and environmental program across all commercial construction operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance while driving a proactive safety culture that reduces incidents, protects employees, minimizes environmental impact, and mitigates organizational risk-including fleet-related exposures. This position is both strategic and hands-on-requiring strong field engagement, leadership influence, and the ability to hold teams accountable in fast-paced, high-risk environments.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• OSHA 30 (or 500/510) certification
• 8+ years of progressive safety experience in commercial construction
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• Experience with EM 385
• Experience managing safety across multiple job sites and project teams
• Proven track record of reducing incidents and improving safety performance
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST, or similar certification is preferred
• Experience with Procore is preferred
• Certified to give Equipment, CPR, Fall Pro, etc trainings is a plus
