Pridestaff is currently seeking a Metal Fabrication Assistant for a steel manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.

Pay Rate: $18-19
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 3pm

Job Duties: The Shop Assistant will assist the various departments in various duties such as powder coating, sand blasting, packaging, grinding, and cutting material. Will be cross trained, and must be flexible to perform other job duties in other departments. As a Shop Assistant, you will assist in the following of work instructions provided with each Work Order and will use company suppled tools to complete tasks. As a Grinder you will be responsible for smoothing and finishing materials as needed. May float to loading and unloading when needed.

Job Requirements:

Must have at least 6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Experience preferred: Powder Coating, Sand Blasting, Manufacturing, Forklift Operation, (minimum 6 months preferred)
Mechanically inclined - Ability to operate tools and machinery effectively including the ability to use a hand grinder.
Flexibility - must be willing to perform various job duties across different departments.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Occasionally required to ben, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl.
Ability to work outside yard to load and unload when needed.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Must have and wear steel toe shoes or boots or composite shoes throughout shift as well as assigned PPE (Ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.)
Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start.
