Forklift Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic where you'll play a vital role in maintaining lift trucks and ensuring their safe operation. We value respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and encourage fellow associates to prioritize the customer experience.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on lift trucks.
• Perform repairs on electric trucks and other equipment as needed.
• Conduct welding tasks as required.
• Ensure batteries are kept charged and in working condition.
• Maintain various equipment, including a 60' elevated lift truck, tuggers, carts, propane lift trucks, propane systems, and pallet jacks.
• Repair and maintain battery chargers.
• Fulfill essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, with at least four years of experience in electric forklift repair, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Knowledge of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems and engine overhauls is required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime occasionally.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Skilled in organizing and prioritizing various tasks and projects.
• Familiarity with industry terminology and processes.
• Ability to meet fixed deadlines and work within time constraints.
• Commitment to continuing education.
• Capability to operate a forklift, electric cart, manlift, and basic hand tools.
• Limited Maintenance Industrial license and forklift license are necessary.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
