As a Senior Manager, you will oversee complex tax provision engagements and corporate compliance, while managing and developing high-performing teams. You'll be empowered with the tools, training, and collaborative environment needed to succeed and make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple client service teams across various industries, managing tax compliance, consulting, and ASC 740 provision projects.
- Act as the primary tax contact for clients, managing relationships and providing innovative tax planning strategies.
- Perform primary and secondary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements and complex corporate tax returns.
- Manage engagement economics (realization, utilization, receivables, etc.).
- Identify opportunities to expand services for existing clients and support business development.
- Mentor, train, and manage tax staff; participate in performance evaluations and team development.
- Work closely with internal experts, including the Washington National Tax Office (WNTO), to solve complex tax issues.
- Attend professional development events and industry networking opportunities.
- Ensure all work adheres to the highest standards of quality and client confidentiality.
- Active CPA license (or JD with active law license)
- Extensive experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions
- Ability and willingness to work on-site at least 2 days per week
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax
- Public accounting and/or professional services firm experience
- Proficiency in ONESOURCE Tax Provision software
- Experience with corporate income tax compliance, state and local taxation, international tax, and transfer pricing
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred
