Job Full Description

Our client is in need of a Carpenter on a Direct hire basis. Pay up to $25hr.

This role provides operational support in reconstruction projects. The candidate must have strong carpentry skills, be able to work independently, and assist with project scope development. They will run projects autonomously, mentor entry-level carpenters, and expand their skills into commercial and multi-family projects. Responsibilities include leading emergency services, enhancing material knowledge, and demonstrating proficiency in various carpentry areas such as framing, cabinetry, trim, and more. This is considered a Level 3 - Intermediate Carpenter position.

Key Responsibilities

Identify project issues and request guidance when needed

Answer questions on-site and escalate complex matters appropriately

Protect and move contents without damage

Construct containment areas to control dust and contaminants

Perform carpentry tasks such as salvaging, labeling, trim, framing, cabinetry, roofing, and siding

Participate in shrink wrap training and complete projects using this method

Identify insulation types and R-values

Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe, clean condition

Ensure property protection and deliver excellent customer service

Work under time-sensitive deadlines, including nights, weekends, and occasional travel

Accurately report time, materials, and equipment usage

Supervise basic-level employees, unskilled labor, and subcontractors when needed

Perform emergency services (e.g., board-ups, securing buildings)

Attend safety and operational training as required

Requirements

Extensive carpentry experience

Ability to supervise less experienced workers

Strong attention to detail and customer service focus

Flexibility to work varied hours and travel as required
