Job Description Summary
Join Our Team! We are looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team, specializing in ceramics. This role involves operating CNC equipment and adhering to high-quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop.

Proficient in using basic hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., dial calipers, rulers, micrometers).

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and process sheets.
-
Solid understanding of machine shop operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
-
Setup and operate CNC machinery efficiently.
-
Work with various operations including drilling, reaming, and tapping.
-
Utilize tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges as needed for operations.
-
Fabricate parts and tools by setting up and operating lathes and milling machines.
-
Ensure proper tooling and precise alignment.
-
Maintain high standards for tolerances and finishes.
-
Perform tool offsets and load parts into machines.
-
Effectively manage multiple machines at once.
-
Engage in complex prototype creation and first-time builds.
-
Troubleshoot tools, fixtures, and equipment proactively.
-
Follow internal specifications and comply with all safety and quality regulations.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering and Planning teams.

Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.

Lead initiatives focused on efficiency and quality improvements.

Report to supervisors on issues and seek resolutions.
-
Practice GE Leadership behaviors.

Take on other responsibilities as necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
-
3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing machine shop environment.
-
Formal education or training in machine shop operations.
-
Knowledge of CNC and manual machine functions.
-
Basic programming skills, including interpretation and editing of programs.

Experience in a self-directed work environment.
-
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Physical Demands:
-
Able to lift weights ranging from 40 - 82 lbs (heavier items with assistance).
-
Must be capable of pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $27.75, with eligibility for annual discretionary bonuses based on performance. This posting is scheduled to close on 3/31/26.
