We are a premier, rapidly growing stone fabrication shop in Brooklyn, NY specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. Our facility works with the finest granite, marble, and quartz, utilizing cutting-edge technology to deliver precision craftsmanship. As we scale our operations, we are looking for a skilled 5-Axis CNC SawJet Operator to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for excellence.

salary: $62,000 - $83,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Setup and operate a 5-axis CNC SawJet (Blade + Waterjet combo) to cut slabs according to digital templates.
• Material Handling: Safely load and move slabs of granite, marble, and quartz using overhead cranes or vacuum lifters.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, ensuring dimensions match shop drawings and polish/edges meet our quality standards.
• Maintenance: Perform daily machine calibration and routine maintenance to ensure the SawJet runs at peak performance.
• Problem Solving: Adjust feed speeds, water pressure, and tool paths on the fly to account for material variances (e.g., tension in quartz or veining in marble).

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
