Yard worker - forklift

We are seeking a reliable individual for a temp-to-hire position at our lumber yard, where previous experience working in a lumber yard is strictly required. In this role, you will be responsible for material handling (locating, cutting, and prepping materials for field crews), loading/unloading vehicles, and managing inventory and shipments. You must have 3+ years of forklift experience to safely move materials and maintain an organized yard. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, and be comfortable standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods. We value greatcommunication skills, a commitment to safety procedures, and the flexibility to work overtime as needed in a team-oriented environment.

salary: $18 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Material Handling: Locating, cutting, prepping, and moving materials for field crews.

Loading/Unloading: Assisting in loading and unloading field vehicles.

Inventory Management: Receiving shipments and assisting with inventory control.

Equipment Operation: Operating a forklift to move materials.

Yard Maintenance: Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, organized, and orderly.

Safety: Observing all safety procedures to prevent injury, including attending safety meetings.

Requirements:

Experience: 3+ years of forklift experience is required.

Physical Ability: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime
