CNC Machinist Programmer
A growing precision-machining facility in the Columbus area is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, advanced machining, and creating high-accuracy components using wire EDM technology.
Pay & Benefits:
- Up to $35/hr based on experience.

- Manufacturing company
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC wire EDM programs using CAD/CAM platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC wire EDM machines with Fanuc controls.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMM equipment, and other inspection tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, machine performance, and electrical discharge machining processes.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Partner with engineering to review CAD models and recommend improvements for manufacturability and toolpath strategy.
- Hands-on experience programming CNC wire EDM equipment (preferably with Fanuc controls).
- Strong understanding of CAD and CAM systems.
- Familiarity with CNC milling and turning operations is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement practices.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
- Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of machining processes and tooling setups.
- Continuous-improvement mindset with exposure to lean manufacturing principles.
