Manual Lathe Machinist
Our well established local client is seeking a Manual Machinist with an eagerness to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 5 years' experience working with manual lathes and mills, pays strong attention to detail, and is committed to workplace safety. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manufacturing machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

Manual Lathe Machinist
Will pay $20-26/DOE + benefits
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Read and interprets blueprints.
Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Owns precision tools, and uses machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
Fabricate and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal.
Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
Recognize, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
Manual Lathe Machinistjob requirements
5+ years (minimum) experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with lathe machining
Must own tools
Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques
High school diploma or GED required
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude
