Web and Sheetfed Press Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Summary:Our client in Beaver Dam is currently looking for Web and Sheetfed Press Operators. You will be responsible for setting up and operating printing presses.

Pay: $23.00-32.00/hr depending on experience plus a $0.70 or $0.90 shift premium

Hours: Straight 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm plus overtime as required

Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm - 6:00am plus overtime as required

Responsibilities: Set up printing press by installing plates, adjusting ink levels, setting registration, and ensuring the proper alignment of paper sheets.

Operate the printing press, managing all aspects of the printing process, including speed, pressure, ink density, and paper handling to produce high-quality print products.

Monitor and inspect printed materials throughout production to ensure that color consistency, registration, and overall print quality meet company and customer standards.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the press, such as cleaning rollers, changing plates, and fixing mechanical issues to ensure the press runs smoothly without interruptions.

Monitor the supply of paper, ink, and other consumables, ensuring materials are loaded into the press correctly and there is no disruption in the production process.

Quickly identify and resolve issues such as ink distribution problems, paper jams, or mechanical malfunctions to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:Previous Printing press operation experience is required

High school diploma or equivalent

Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions

Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the shift

Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task
