Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at a supportive, team-oriented LDRP hospital. This role provides comprehensive care across labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, including high-risk obstetrics. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and passionate about family-centered care.

Schedule & Unit Details

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule
Patient ratios: 1:3 (days/nights/weekends)
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
Call and float required as needed based on census
Rural LDRP setting with interdisciplinary support

Requirements

Active California RN license
Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
Experience with high-risk deliveries and newborn stabilization

Clinical Skills & Experience

Labor & delivery management and fetal monitoring
Vaginal and C-section recovery
High-risk antepartum and postpartum care
Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and epidural management
Newborn care, APGAR scoring, and phototherapy
Postpartum hemorrhage and obstetric emergencies
