What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and manage the NQA-1 control program for the Fabrication LOB
- Supervise and coach QC Technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Coordinate supplier and internal audits
- Maintain and enforce compliance with ASME NQA-1 industry standard all associated legal requirements
- Review and approve QC reports, inspection results, and documentation
- Review purchase contracts during bidding and purchasing on all Nuclear projects
- Collaborate with production, engineering, management teams, and the customer to resolve contract issues
- Resolve all quality issues prior to shipment
- Report Non-Compliances to the customer and to the NRC when appropriate
- Verify all NQA-1 safety-related documentation is correct and complete
- Perform surveillance over vendor sites who do not have an NQA-1 program when the vendor's products or services are being used for NQA-1 safety-related projects
- Maintain NIAC accreditation for performing audits
- Minimum 2 years experience as supervisor, preferred
- Strong knowledge of NQA-1 quality standard and applicable Codes of Federal Regulation
- Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and state/federal regulations for steel reinforcing products used in the construction of nuclear power generation facilities
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and guide team members
- Ability to drive results through collaboration and influence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a science, mathematics, or engineering, and 2 years' experience as an auditor or Quality System Administrator
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and 5 years' experience as an auditor or Quality System Administrator
