Snelling Staffing is currently hiring a Millwright for a company in Schererville, IN!
Pay Rate is $23 - $27 HR Depending on Experience
JOB OVERVIEW
The Millwright position will perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, machines and buildings to minimize downtime and support the production team. Typical tasks include those related to circuits, pneumatics, cooling systems, pipefitting, and heating and cooling systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Understand production equipment start-up and shut-down procedures in order to test it for proper functionality.
• Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Detect, identify, and repair building issues, including plumbing and HVAC systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Knowledge of general manufacturing and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime shifts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work overhead or in tight positions.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work at heights.
