Machinist III (Lead) Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hourShift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AMEmployment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Machinist III (Lead) to provide hands-on leadership in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for advanced machine setup, troubleshooting, process improvement, and mentoring team members while ensuring production meets quality, safety, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced machine setups, changeovers, and calibrations on CNC and non-CNC equipment. Achieve and maintain precision tolerances below .0005". Troubleshoot mechanical, setup, quality, and process issues using root cause analysis. Support daily production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve complex manufacturing challenges. Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to machinists and operators. Lead continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives. Assist with machine repairs, preventive maintenance, and autonomous maintenance programs. Develop and improve setup procedures, work instructions, and best practices. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Proven ability to hold tight tolerances below .0005". Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Previous leadership, mentoring, or lead machinist experience preferred. CNC programming and G/M code experience highly preferred.
