Carpenter Position

The role involves building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using materials such as wood and steel. The carpenter will be responsible for self-performing all aspects of carpentry including rough and finish carpentry, steel stud work, and cabinet installation.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair structures and fixtures.
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Utilize tools such as chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Ensure work meets code and specifications.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment.
• Install cabinets, molding, partitions, doors, and windows.
• Create structures for pouring concrete.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of commercial carpentry experience.
• Ability to estimate dimensions accurately.
• Proficient in working with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Experience with rough and finish carpentry, cabinetry, and installation.
• Ability to travel for projects out of state.

Job Type & Location: This is a permanent position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
