Forklift Driver

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

Responsibilities:

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
• Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of products are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Efficiently move products from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
• Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions as required.
• Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment daily.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in operating a forklift or other power equipment.
• Ability to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise efficiently.
• Experience in maintaining equipment and conducting minor maintenance.
• Knowledge of inventory control and security measures.
• Familiarity with radio frequency equipment for various functions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in Order Filler and Checker duties is advantageous.
• Understanding of OSHA and MSDS standards.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, OH.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
