Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for building machine components by following detailed prints and utilizing both hand and power tools. You will collaborate with a team to construct various sub-components and work closely with material handlers to gather necessary parts. Expect to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, as each component typically takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to assemble.

Responsibilities

• Build machine components by following detailed prints.

• Utilize hand and power tools to construct components.

• Collaborate within a team to build different sub-components.

• Work with material handlers to pick and gather necessary parts.

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Complete assembly of components within 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Essential Skills

• Assembly

• Blueprint reading

• Mechanical aptitude

• Proficiency in using hand tools

• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in assembly or mechanical aptitude, such as building cars or in a trade.

• Ability to read and interpret prints or follow directions.

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Michigan City, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
