Experienced Service Plumber

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Service Plumber with a minimum of 4 years of experience and a clean driving record. The position requires open availability for on-call emergencies, which will be rotated among employees. You will need to provide your own hand tools.

As a Service Plumber, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in both residential and commercial buildings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Fixing leaks and clearing drain clogs
• Replacing faucets and repairing water heaters
• Installing new plumbing fixtures

You will also maintain excellent customer service by explaining repairs and addressing client concerns, while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, considering existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring)
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines, such as leaks
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, and faucets
• Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems, including air-conditioning units and radiators
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems, ensuring efficient DWV systems

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience as a plumber
• Ability to provide your own hand tools
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems, as well as appliances
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly demeanor with a high level of patience
• Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to work in tight or awkward spaces
• Valid driving license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
