Welder - 1st Shift MIG/TIG

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder/fabricator for a first shift, contract position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of welding and fabricating experience or possess a vocational welding certificate. Proficiency in working with aluminum is essential. This position can become long term as well if the work continues to flow in.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld based on blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.

• Perform proficient MIG welding on aluminum and steel.

• Utilize TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel when necessary.

• Operate supporting shop equipment competently.

• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Manage close tolerance weldments.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience.

• Vocational welding certificate or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in aluminum and steel MIG welding.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding is beneficial.

• Close tolerance weldment experience is a plus.

• Ability to pass a weld test during the interview process.

Work Environment

Work in a fully equipped shop environment during the first shift. The role requires proficiency in operating various shop equipment and adherence to safety standards. Dress code is standard for a welding and fabrication workshop.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
