Service Technician Apprentice

PrideStaff is searching for an entry level Service Technician Apprentice. Someone who wants to learn a trade and have a career with our client located in Arvada. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Job description:

• Assisting the Shop Mechanic and Shop Foreman with in-shop air compressor repairs, routine service, cleaning, and inspection of rental fleet equipment.
• Join experienced field service technicians during field service calls for training and assisting when heavier service activities dictate.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install all types of air compressors, air dryers, and filters.
• Must be collaborative and able to take instruction and learn from Senior technicians and management.
• Firsthand experience with rotary screw compressors, Sullair preferred but not required
• Firsthand experience with centrifugal compressors, Sullair preferred but not required
• Read prints, wiring schematics, and diagrams for all equipment.
• Complete mechanical/electrical repair work as needed in an efficient manner.
• Must be able to interface with customers with a sense of pride and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical/vocational or high school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with demonstrated expertise in the maintenance and repair of a variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and or pneumatics.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and submit a motor vehicle record
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Candidates will be working with more experienced field technicians but must be able to perform duties without direct supervision and be self-directed

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
