Principal Accountabilities

• Engage in physical activities in a food processing environment, which involves regular exertion, including bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and lifting objects weighing more than 50 pounds, as well as frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds. You will also need to walk or stand for extended periods and occasionally use stairs or ladders.
• Expect exposure to various conditions (e.g., heat, cold, dust) along with wet and humid environments, slippery surfaces, moving mechanical parts, and dynamic work conditions. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
• Implement automation solutions for controlling plant processes and oversee electrical and instrumentation functions for various projects. You will gain in-depth knowledge of plant processes.
• Design and apply control strategies that align with current best practices and approved components.
• Collaborate with the fix/support team to identify areas needing improvement, ensuring the reliability of systems, and provide training on completed projects.
• This position requires availability for a 6-day work week.

Required Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without needing Visa sponsorship
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Proficient in PLC/HMI/Controls programming languages
• Adept at updating and troubleshooting a range of electrical or instrumentation systems
• Ability to interpret and analyze electrical schematics
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Must pass an Electrical Aptitude Test
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Cargill
• Understanding of continuous and batch process control strategies
• Familiarity with plant production processes
• Experience in configuring and programming PLC and HMI systems
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, planning, and scheduling
• Background in Automation, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation, particularly with Allen-Bradley and Siemens
• Design and implementation knowledge of plant digital business technologies
