Job Description
Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $19.50-$22/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30am
We're seeking an experienced Forklift Operator with hands-on expertise operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts in fast-paced warehouse environments. Skilled in material handling, loading/unloading, inventory movement, and working safely within high-rack storage systems up to 30 feet. Strong commitment to warehouse safety, Food GMP compliance, efficiency, and maintaining organized workspaces while consistently meeting productivity goals. This is an associate to hire role in Kansas City, MO.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform material handling and warehouse duties safely and efficiently
- Operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- Move, stage, load, and unload products throughout the warehouse
- Work with inventory stored in higher racking systems (25-30 feet)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and Food GMP guidelines
Forklift Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience required, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- Comfortable working with high racking/storage systems
- Food GMP experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and forklift
- Ability to work at heights when handling inventory in higher racking systems
