CNC Mill Machinist

Opening in 1997, as a small cable assembly house, our client has grown into a vertically integrated supplier of RF and Microwave components and sub-assemblies. They have successfully supplied product to the military, commercial, medical and electronic industries. With two facilities, occupying 22,000 square feet, state-of-the-art assembly and inspection equipment and the latest engineering software, the company has the ability to provide anything from precision machining to solving their customer's most challenging interconnect requirement, from cable assemblies, as well as, the capability to integrate components to provide them with a complete sub-assembly.
The company has an immediate need for several CNC Mazak Lathe & Mill Machinists on a contract to direct hire or direct hire basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
-Load/unload raw materials.
-Proficiently use gages/tools to meet tolerance requirements.
-Reduce set up time and machining time through process improvements.
-Utilize and abide by AS requirements and safety procedures.
-Perform geometry, tool wear offsets and program edits.
-Track/record job progress and deficiencies daily in both written and electronic formats.
-Comply with all quality policies and instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of CNC Mazak Lathe and Mill experience.
-Proficiency in reading/understanding mechanical drawings.
-Must have proficient knowledge in various CNC controls and G and M code.
-Ability to turn on, set up and operate Mazak with minimal assistance.
-Utilize and abide by AS9100 requirements and safety procedures.
-Ability to perform mathematical equations.
-Keen attention to detail and quality.
-Must be able to lift 30lbs.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma, GED or equivalent vocational training.
-Related Military experience is a plus.
-Willingness to work overtime as required.
