Our client in Fairport Harbor, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist (Programmer) for a growing manufacturing company. This is not an operator-level position - they are looking for a highly skilled machinist who can independently program, set up, and run CNC lathe machinery.
Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience programming CNC lathes, interpreting complex blueprints, and machining large components with precision and efficiency.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of CNC Lathe experience (10+ years preferred)
Strong CNC programming experience (at the machine and/or offline)
Ability to perform full machine setup and tooling changes
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Experience machining large parts and components
Strong understanding of tolerances, feeds, speeds, and material properties
Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes
Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision components
Machine large parts to exact specifications
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
Perform quality inspections to ensure specifications are met
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
