Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $23 - $25 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Auto Service Technician:

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) issues using diagnostic equipment and tools

• Complete repairs and part replacements according to manufacturer and industry standards

• Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations

• Maintain detailed and accurate service records for all work performed

• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently

• Assist with keeping the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures

• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology and repair methods

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients about their vehicle needs

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• 2+ years of automotive repair or maintenance experience (dealership or independent shop experience a plus)

• National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications or willingness to obtain them preferred

• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC

• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Comfortable working with automotive tools, lifts, and equipment

• Background check and drug screening required
