Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Sedro-Woolley. The ideal candidate will efficiently and accurately weld steel assemblies from plans and specifications, perform simple fittings, and process complex parts for assembly. Understanding written and verbal instructions and following dimensional and welding drawings to produce high-quality welds are crucial for this role.
Responsibilities

• Demonstrate welding competency in all positions.
• Set weld machines to optimum parameters according to WPS.
• Understand weld symbols and prepare joints in accordance with code.
• Utilize jigs and fixtures where appropriate.
• Perform basic fitting work as instructed.
• Place welds of proper size, spacing, and sequence per work instruction.
• Read and understand shop plans, blueprints, and work orders.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.
• High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.
• 3+ years of welding experience or equivalent trade school education.
• Ability to pass an FCAW 3/8\" plate weld test
• Skillful operation of most non-specialized metalworking equipment.
• Understanding and application of visual inspection criteria in pre-QC work checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
• Capability to work in various positions such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
• Proficiency in using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment, lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.

Work Environment
This position requires physical activity and involves performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. You will work in a shop that operates Monday to Thursday, offering two shifts: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM, with additional shifts available Friday through Sunday from 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM. The environment is safe, spacious, and conducive to productive work

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
