DIRECT PLACEMENT ROLE

Overview

A high-volume food-processing facility is seeking an experienced Welder Mechanic with strong TIG and laser welding skills. This role supports daily operations by fabricating, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components

• Operate and maintain laser welding equipment for fine, detailed fabrication

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on conveyors, motors, and processing machinery

• Fabricate custom parts, guards, and structural components to support production needs

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability

• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality standards required in a food-processing environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience; ability to pass a weld test

• Hands-on experience with laser welding systems

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment

• Proficiency with fabrication tools including grinders, plasma cutters, and torches

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend effective solutions

• Experience in food-processing or agricultural environments is a plus

• Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced conditions

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds

• Standing, bending, and working in tight spaces for extended periods

• Comfortable working around moving machinery and in refrigerated areas

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tracy,CA.
