Overview

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical skills who enjoys variety in their work. Our company specializes in custom fabrication , and no two projects are the same—so adaptability, craftsmanship, and pride in quality work are essential.

You’ll work across a wide range of industries and environments, from manufacturing facilities to hospitals and food processing plants, tackling projects that range from quick service calls to multi-week installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel throughout New Jersey to service a diverse client base, including manufacturing, food processing, hospitals, and institutional facilities

• Perform work on projects ranging from single-day jobs to larger, multi-week installations

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

• Perform field welding, pipe fitting, equipment setting, and alignment

• Use a wide variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, drills, and core drills

• Conduct rigging activities as required

• Install and service ductwork, ventilation systems, and fencing (chain link and ornamental)

• Fabricate and work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

• Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality workmanship

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial and/or institutional mechanical maintenance

• Strong ability to read and work from blueprints and technical documents

• Hands-on experience with:

• Field welding

• Pipe fitting

• Equipment alignment

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

• Ability to work independently across varying job sizes and environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sanitary welding or orbital welding (TIG, MIG, STICK)

• Knowledge of ductwork and ventilation systems

• Experience installing or repairing fencing systems

• High School Diploma or Trade School certification

• Basic math skills

• Valid, clean NJ or PA driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Schedule & Environment

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Overtime as required based on client needs

• Field-based role requiring adaptability to different job sites and project demands

• Join an established team of 11 Field Service Technicians , with plans to expand by four additional hires

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
