This Engineering role is designed for the Senior Engineer level, with minimum qualifications outlined below for each tier.
Expected Salary Range:
- Senior Level - $122,400 - $154,000
Salary ranges are annual and based on experience, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and 401K contributions.
Primary Purpose of Position
In this role, you will engage in advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, serving as a resource and technical expert for fellow engineers. You will be responsible for important technical decisions and must demonstrate an excellent understanding of functional disciplines and relevant industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Provide expert technical guidance for the development, management, and implementation of engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Lead engineering and technical accountability for both short-term and long-term programs that significantly impact site operations.
- Execute engineering tasks as directed by supervision, applying sound engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes when preparing plans and specifications.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs effectively.
- Advise on equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, lower costs, address design flaws, or align with regulatory changes.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities beyond your immediate department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with at least 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering expertise.
- Must maintain minimum access requirements for unescorted access, with a favorable medical exam and/or testing in accordance with job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer registration is favorable, along with Power Uprate Experience.
- We are specifically seeking Mechanical, Electrical, and I&C Engineers.
