Licensed Electrician

Journeyman or 4 Year Apprentice Electrician

We are currently hiring for a Journeyman and a 4 year apprentice electrician in the Acton, MA area. This role will involve multi-million dollar residential work located throughout the great Boston area. The homes will be a standard size of 10,000 - 15,000 sq feet. Someone with residential experience will be ideal for this role.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire electrical systems for new high-end residential construction and renovations.
• Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to execute complex layouts accurately.
• Install lighting systems, including recessed lighting, smart lighting, architectural fixtures, and landscape lighting.
• Set up electrical panels, sub-panels, and service upgrades in accordance with Massachusetts electrical code.
• Integrate smart-home technologies such as automation systems, EV chargers, and whole-home networking.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues with a focus on safety and long-term reliability.
• Collaborate with general contractors, designers, and homeowners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain compliance with state and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Document work performed and communicate progress to project stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician specializing in residential new construction.
• Ability to work from blueprints and communicate effectively with subcontractors.
• Experience in troubleshooting, wiring, and understanding of electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MA Journeyman Electrical License.
• Basic JM electrician tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hingham, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
