We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Machine Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. This role is vital to ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and reliability of our production machinery. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical repair. They will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various manufacturing equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
Repair or replace faulty components including motors, sensors, switches, valves, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
Operate specialized tools and equipment such as welding (including welding), scissor lifts, and HVAC/R systems to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history.
Support field service operations by responding promptly to machine breakdowns and performing repairs on-site at various locations.
Assist in training team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols related to industrial mechanics.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve machine performance through analysis of operational data.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to high voltage systems, low voltage electrical work, and industrial standards.
Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience in industrial mechanic roles within a manufacturing facility environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with industrial electrician practices is preferred.
Proficiency working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and high-voltage electrical systems.
Ability to operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely.
Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance management; experience with analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testing tools.
Excellent communication skills in English; ability to document work clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
Industrial electrician experience or certification is advantageous.
Background in military or related fields emphasizing discipline and technical training is a plus.
