The SPC Inspector is responsible for performing statistical process control inspections and ensuring that products meet established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports quality assurance efforts by conducting thorough inspections, verifying measurements, and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform new, routine, receiving, in-process, and final inspections of standard parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Utilize precision measurement tools and metrology techniques (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
Interpret and read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
Verify that operators are correctly measuring and recording dimensional data on in-process (IP) sheets and other required documentation.
Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and first piece approvals to validate setup and production readiness.
Identify nonconformances and assist in developing and documenting internal and external corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.
Support quality improvement initiatives and cost-saving efforts through data analysis and process monitoring.
Collaborate with the Supervisor, Quality Inspector II, and Quality Engineer to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
Provide support in other production areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of SPC principles and quality control processes.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T preferred.
Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Open Positions & Shifts:
3 openings – 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
2 openings – 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
