Global Trade Customs Analyst position in Charlotte, NC.

Job description:
Develop and maintain budget analysis and reporting tools to be utilized by department heads and budget administrators when analyzing monthly results.
Perform financial analysis of internal financial statements and investigate significant budget variances.
Train and assist department heads and budget administrators in use of budget reporting tools and work with them to establish consistent monthly reporting protocols.
Document all procedures and processes in a desk manual and perform process improvement initiatives to streamline the reporting process, improve quality and usefulness of data, and improve customer satisfaction and add value to the budget reporting function.
High School Diploma / GED minimum education. In lieu of a degree, candidate should have 4+ years of experience. Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years' experience is preferred but not required.
Interviews will be held virtually, with a possibility of a 2nd interview in-person.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Central Global Trade (GT) Customs Team with the preparation of customs reporting and metrics
• Generating regular reports on import/export activity, compliance status, and any identified issues.
• Analyzing data, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain accurate customs records and help resolve compliance issues
Skills and experience:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, essential for ensuring accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). Knowledge of PowerBI an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage deadlines and difficult situations
• Experience within import/export, logistics, shipping, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or a similar role is preferred
• Flexibility to undertake other GT related task as required to support the business.
