Primary Purpose of Position

The Experienced Electrical Service Technician will perform residential electrical service work including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upgrades. This role is crucial in ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in adherence to local and national electrical codes.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems such as service panels, circuits, outlets, switches, and lighting.
• Install new electrical systems and upgrade existing systems to fulfill customer requirements and comply with code standards.
• Carry out residential Level 2 EV charger installations, including site assessments, panel upgrades, and handling permitting support.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure code compliance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while clearly communicating with homeowners regarding work performed and recommendations.
• Document all required information including service tickets, time logs, and material usage.
• Be available for on-call responsibilities and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in optimal condition.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential electrical work.
• A valid State Journeyman Electrician License.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related state codes.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in installing residential Level 2 EV chargers is preferred.
