Mig Welder

Position Title: MIG Welder

Wage: $21.00 - $30.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm (Monday - Thursday; Overtime on Friday 6:00am - 1:00pm as Needed)

QPS Employment Group is currently recruiting for a Direct Hire MIG Welder on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Humboldt, Iowa. This company specializes in building semi-trailers and offers a stable, team-oriented work environment with long-term career opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing MIG welding on carbon steel and some aluminum components used in the production of semi-trailers. This is a first-shift, hands-on position focused on quality, consistency, and productivity.

MIG Welder Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and some aluminum materials

- Weld trailer frames and components according to specifications

- Inspect welds to ensure quality and structural integrity

- Meet daily production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

- Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Requirements for MIG Welder:

- Previous MIG welding experience preferred; however, recent graduates of accredited college or technical welding programs are encouraged to apply

- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to complete a weld test
