Job Title: Prototype CNC Machinist

Job Description

Our Machinists set up and operate CNC lathes and mills as we partner with our customers in the development of their latest products.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprint and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.

• Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications.

• Operate machines and equipment other than machine tools.

• Complete in-process inspection sheets.

• Demonstrate attention to detail.

• Contribute to building a positive team spirit.

• Read and interpret prints.

• Firm understanding of GD&T.

• Experience with hard turn machining and close tolerances of +.0001.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist

• Ability to read blueprints

• Proficiency in quality inspection

• CNC setup skills

• Expertise with calipers and micrometers

• Attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of GD&T

• Experience with tight tolerances

• Experience in close-tolerance machining

• Willingness to learn and train others

Work Environment

For over half a century, we have been focused on providing solutions for demanding machined parts applications. The facility is air-controlled, well lit, and very organized, with a slight smell of oil and metal. It houses 100 CNC machines, including mills and lathes, with various brands all G & M Code based with various controllers. The break room and training room are well-equipped with hot/cold food options.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roselle, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
