Commercial Construction Superintendent

SERVPRO of Birmingham is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale commercial restoration and reconstruction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating job site activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, managing subcontractors, and delivering projects on time and within scope. The ideal candidate is highly organized, travel-ready, and experienced in commercial construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily on-site operations for commercial construction and restoration projects
• Travel to project sites as required (regional and/or out-of-state travel may be necessary)
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
• Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and SERVPRO standards
• Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and address issues proactively
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance on all job sites
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
• Communicate effectively with project managers, adjusters, clients, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate job documentation, daily reports, and progress updates
• Assist with material ordering, equipment needs, and logistics
• Resolve field issues and support change order processes as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction or restoration
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and fast-paced job sites
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction schedules, blueprints, and job documentation
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• OSHA certification preferred (OSHA 30 a plus)

Preferred Experience:

• Commercial restoration or disaster recovery experience
• Experience with insurance-related reconstruction projects
• Familiarity with SERVPRO processes or restoration industry standards
