Responsibilities
Howmet Engines is a premier producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, excelling in advanced technologies like vacuum melted superalloys and high-performance parts. We also supply complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to high-tech industries.
We are currently seeking an Electrician A to join our team. This role is for a Weekend Days position, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 AM to 6:30 PM, with initial training on the first shift (Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM).
Compensation:
Starting Hourly Rate: $36.75; Rate After 12 Months: $39.35
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus (for external candidates only) payable after 90 days of employment.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing electrical support to maintain and enhance the functionality of our electrical systems while adhering to safety protocols.
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing EHS values and policies.
- Comply with all EHS regulations and report concerns promptly.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Attend all necessary EHS training sessions.
Essential Job Functions
- Install and maintain electrical systems, including motors and transformers.
- Inspect wiring and circuits for compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.
- Training and mentoring of junior electricians as needed.
- May perform minor mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Complete all safety procedures and training requirements.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and carry out repairs effectively.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interpret ladder logic and blueprints.
- Proficient at troubleshooting PLC inputs/outputs and analog signals.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and HMI computers.
- Comfortable working with high voltage equipment (up to 600V).
Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and assist with heavier loads.
- Push/pull forces of up to 200 lbs.
- Requires clean-shaving in areas for respirator fit.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an electrician role within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical code requirements and new installation processes.
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
