HVAC Technician Start ASAP
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to competently install and maintain HVAC equipment, including forced air natural gas, propane, and electric heat pumps in both residential and commercial settings. The role requires advanced custom sheet metal fabrication skills and the ability to assist and train other install technicians. You will assess HVAC/R equipment and have a wide knowledge base of system components. This position involves addressing problematic callbacks and providing key technical support to less experienced technicians.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC equipment provided by the company, including forced air natural gas, propane, and electric heat pumps.
- Demonstrate advanced custom sheet metal fabrication skills.
- Assist and train install technicians as needed.
- Assess HVAC/R equipment and understand how system components work.
- Address problematic callbacks or calls unable to be resolved by less experienced technicians.
- Provide technical support and procedural information to technicians.
- Read and work from schematics.
- Complete necessary data entry into software systems.
- Apply company sticker protocol and gather equipment information at each install.
- Recommend additional products to enhance customer comfort.
- Collect payment from customers at job completion if applicable.
- Send review requests upon job completion.
- Program thermostats and explain operations to customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Ensure all functions of installation tech are done properly and assist as needed.
- Perform a final check of all work and take pictures before leaving.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years HVAC experience.
- 3+ years installation experience.
- 3+ years sheet metal fabrication experience.
- EPA universal certification.
- Ability to read and work from schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical repair skills.
- Customer service experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
