Motor Mechanic
As a Motor Mechanic, you will work primarily in the capacity of a shop mechanic. Your day-to-day duties will include the mechanical assembly and disassembly of 3 phase and single phase AC/DC motors. You will be responsible for making specific markings to ensure motors can be reassembled accurately. Additionally, you will follow shop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to tear down and rebuild motors. You may also perform welding tasks specific to motor repairs, which we can provide training for.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and test electromechanical equipment using job documentation and AC/DC methods.
- Diagnose issues and replace defective components to ensure proper operation.
- Operate shop and lifting equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Lift, rig, and secure heavy objects with overhead cranes.
- Disassemble and clean electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods.
- Measure and requisition replacement parts as approved by the supervisor.
- Retest reassembled and repaired equipment to verify proper output and operation.
- Assist other mechanics or shop personnel as needed.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read job cards for job status and work authorizations.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Knowledge of 3 phase and AC/DC motor repair.
- Proficiency in power transmission, motor repair, and electrical wiring.
- Experience in welding and motor control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Mechanical background from heavy industrial assembly, maintenance, or automotive engine repair.
- Valid driver's license.
- Mechatronics degree or similar vocational degree preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a job shop atmosphere, either independently or in small teams. The environment is similar to a mechanic shop, with many moving parts, tools, and employees. Join a team of 5-6 people on the 2nd shift, working from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some overtime as needed. Employees are provided with tools, but bringing personal basic hand tools is optional.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $68640.00/yr. Direct hire opportunity Ability to grow and transfer into different divisions of the company Benefits; Capital Blue: It's a high deductible plan. Company pays the majority of the premium. Employee is responsible for $300 annual premium only. The deductible is $13,300 but the employee is only responsible for $3200 if married and $1500 if single. Company pays the rest. Position starts with 10 vacation days. 1 day per year is added up to a maximum of 20 days 5 Personal time off days per year. 7 paid holidays 401K and ESOP guaranteed 2% of annual salary is contributed annually by the company but historically since the company has been profitable has been 25% . The employee has the option to contribute weekly from their pay as well if they like.
