Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated and semi-automated manufacturing machinery. This includes working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as repairing PLC Controlled and CNC Equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform and direct complex maintenance work such as repairing CNC machinery.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
- Handle all cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Replace faulty electrical components of equipment.
- Install and repair electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on CNC and manual machinery.
- Maintain and use all controlled documents within the department.
- Maintain and repair all machinery and hand tools.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Complete pre-shift safety inspections.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in electrical, maintenance, and repair.
- Knowledge of industrial and electrical safety procedures.
- Experience with industrial, electrical, and mechanical tools.
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including email.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED required; a degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Field of Study: Mechanical/Electrical preferred.
- PLC programming preferred.
- Experience with machine-specific controls (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) preferred.
- Basic Electrical Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
