Our Fall 2026 Internship Program runs from August 17 to December 4 and offers an immersive 12-week experience where you can develop your skills, receive mentorship, and gain exposure to industry leaders.
As an intern, you will engage in meaningful projects, enhance your professional skills, and connect with peers from across the country while earning competitive pay.
Responsibilities
You will work closely under the guidance of project managers and senior leaders to:
- Support project managers in essential tasks, including pre-remodel checklists and “as built” fixture/refrigeration drawings.
- Participate in the contractor bid process.
- Attend job meetings for capital projects and assist with weekly tasks.
- Help manage equipment orders and track delivery schedules aligned with construction timelines.
- Assist in the management and installation of store fixtures.
- Participate in project closeouts including punch lists and final invoicing.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with technician staff for reviews of refrigeration and electrical/mechanical plans.
- Evaluate proposed change orders and their implications.
- Review architectural plans for completeness and compliance.
- Support other Facility Engineering personnel as needed.
- Engage in department meetings and updates.
- Complete minor capital project estimates and management.
- Fulfill specific assignments per your college's internship program requirements.
- Prepare a cumulative project summarizing your internship achievements and present to the executive team.
- Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Engineering from an accredited institution, with a preferred GPA of 3.0.
- Motivated and proactive, ready to take initiative on your assignments.
- Strong leadership abilities and capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting information at various organizational levels.
- Aptitude for analyzing information and aligning it with business needs.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Prior experience in a construction environment is a plus.
