Boiler Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain boiler systems and associated equipment. This role involves installation, troubleshooting, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair operational problems with boiler controls and accessories.
- Perform new machine installations, start-ups, and repairs.
- Sell service and service contracts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company core values.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Attend vendor training and company-sponsored classes.
- Maintain truck stock inventory and company vehicle.
- Maintain a clean driving record and regular attendance.
- Identify and submit five Technician Leads per week.
- Prepare and submit accurate service tickets daily.
- Assist with training less experienced personnel.
- Maintain records of time, labor, materials, and logs of tasks performed.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Perform installation upgrades including gas conversion and control systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and emission analysis.
- Conduct equipment and system start-ups as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Be on call 24/7 as scheduled.
- Procure repair parts as needed.
- Maintain and update vendor software and perform backups.
- Download and back up control files for customer equipment.
- Participate in cross-training and other assigned duties.
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment applications, ladder logic, and electrical drawings.
- Experience with welder, boiler, plant equipment, HVAC, air compressor, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to use hand tools and perform field service.
- Basic computer operation skills, including email and app-based programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
- Basic understanding of commercial and industrial compressed air systems, industrial boiler room systems, HVAC, and steam systems.
- Ability to pass the R1 certification coupon within 7 days of hire.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and equipment drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn.
- Ability to teach and lead others.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr. The employee should always conduct themselves according to Tate corporate Values. This includes displaying a professional appearance and attitude in accordance with the Tate Employee handbook.
