Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines from engineering specifications.
• Analyze engineering documents to establish part configurations and machining sequences.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and strategies relevant to machine tool capabilities and material needs.
• Optimize program routines for superior efficiency and precision.
• Test and refine existing programs following any engineering changes or improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and address machining challenges.
• Lead improvements in tooling, fixtures, processes, and workflows to boost throughput and quality.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements

• Deep understanding of CNC machining processes.
• Proven ability to program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Siemens NX, Mastercam, or NCL.
• Strong insight into test execution methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and excel in teamwork and collaboration.
• Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical test methods and equipment.
• Familiarity with Mazak and Siemens controllers.
• Effective communication skills to resolve complex issues and present technical topics clearly to various stakeholders.
• Experience in building effective cross-organization relationships.
• History of leading or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Background in tooling or fixturing design.
• Experience in developing and deploying new tools, processes, or methods.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
