General Laborer-2nd Shift

Immediately Hiring for 2nd Shift General Laborer

Join our dynamic team on a long-term construction project in Lenoir, NC, where you will be an integral part of a large construction project. This project offers the opportunity to work with one of the top construction companies in the area, and it is expected to last for over two years.

Responsibilities:

• Direct pedestrian traffic on the job site, holding a stop/slow sign to allow safe crossing.
• Stand for long periods and work overtime, up to 7 days a week.
• Assist in temporary structure setup, signage, construction cleanup, pressure washing, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Perform physical labor tasks such as jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, and construction waste management.
• Review jobsite needs and communicate them with supervisors.
• Inventory supplies and coordinate with supervisors for restocking.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
• Participate in daily safety and task planning meetings.
• Perform selected demolition and participate in subcontractor activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of jobsite perimeter.
• Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.
• Manage and maintain dumpster areas for cleanliness.
• Serve as a spotter for heavy equipment operators.
• Identify and escalate issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Assist other craft workers as directed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Lenoir, NC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
