Machine Operator (CNC) - Floater (2nd shift)

Location: Garden Grove, CA 92841
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday / 2nd Shift: 1 pm - 9:30 pm
Pay rate: 26$ per hour
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 3-month duration (temp to hire)
Education & Experience

• Education: HS Diploma or GED.
  
• Experience: 3+ years as a CNC Machinist (lathe or mill); experience handling both large/heavy and small parts.

Key Skills

• Technical: Read blueprints/job orders, program G-code, and perform setups.
  
• Tools: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges) and hand tools for deburring/polishing.
  
• Core: Strong math/computer basics, close-tolerance precision, and routine machine maintenance.
  
• Soft Skills: Teamwork, strong attendance, and flexibility for overtime.

Primary Responsibilities

• Machining: Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes/mills to run production lots within tight tolerances and meet quotas.
  
• Quality & Maintenance: Monitor tool wear, inspect parts to ensure zero defects, perform routine machine maintenance, and keep workspaces clean (5S principles).
  
• Physical & Manual: Lift up to 30 lbs, possess strong manual dexterity, and have the visual acuity needed to read precise measuring tools.
