Glass Installer / Glazier

Express Employment Professionals- Skilled Trade Division has partnered with a specialized glass company located in the Whitmore Lake, MI area. We are seeking a candidate for the Glass Installation/Glazier team. If you have an interest in glass, construction, maintenance, or carpentry, this full-time, permanent, and year-round opportunity offers career growth and experience!

Shift: Day shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday (plus overtime as needed)

Pay Rate: $19 - $25/hr. (depending on experience)

Semi Skilled Position: You will work as a trainee, learning the glass industry while working in 2-man teams with an experienced installer. The job involves 2/3 business shower door installation and 1/3 window repairs. This is a non-union opportunity.

Glass Installer/ Glazier Responsibilities:

Work with glass and glazing materials, including shower doors, enclosures, glass guardrails, and mirrors.
Install hardware and materials associated with glass installations.
Measure and secure mirrors using mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws.
Cut and remove broken glass and install replacement glass.
Score glass with cutters' wheels and break off excess glass by hand or with tools.
Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple work assignments.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (30-100 pounds team lift throughout shift).
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to travel based on project locations.
Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
